Our Adventure
2006 - The Beginning
Two 16-year-olds meet online, strangers from opposite coasts who somehow found each other in the vastness of the internet. Little did they know this random connection would change their lives forever.
The Infamous Mall Date
Their first date was nothing short of memorable. While Casey followed every rule, Cheryl decided to walk backwards up the escalator. Casey was horrified. Cheryl was having the time of her life. It was perfectly imperfect, and somehow, they stayed in touch.
2020 - Reconnection
Years passed. Lives changed. Through it all, social media kept them connected with the occasional like or comment. Then came COVID, and a simple message turned into hours of conversation. The spark that started when they were 16 reignited stronger than ever.
The Leap of Faith
Cheryl decided to take a chance. She booked a flight from Seattle to Cape May on a whim. The moment they reunited, everything clicked. This wasn't just a visit—it was the beginning of forever.
80,000 Miles of Love
What followed was the ultimate long-distance love story. Cheryl flew back and forth between Seattle and Cape May every single month—over 80,000 miles a year. She lived between two worlds, two homes, two time zones. It was exhausting, expensive, and absolutely worth it.
2021 - A New Adventure
Love always finds a way. Cheryl discovered she was pregnant with their daughter, Piper. Named after the spirit of adventure that brought them together, Piper would be the next chapter in their incredible journey.
February 2022 - Coming Home
Cheryl officially moved to Cape May. After years of flights, airport security lines, and tearful goodbyes, they were finally in the same place. The adventure continued, but this time, together.
September 19, 2026 - Taking Flight
Now, they're ready to celebrate their love at Piper's Landing Airport—a fitting venue for a couple whose love has truly soared across the miles. From 16-year-old internet friends to a family of three, Casey and Cheryl are finally tying the knot.
"Some people search their whole lives for what we found at sixteen. We lost it, found it again, and learned that the best love stories are worth crossing the country for—again and again."
